The Dresdners started with a bang: In the 3rd minute, Christoph Daferner scored the lead. SV Elversberg responded promptly: After a foul by Vinko Šapina on Łukasz Poręba, ex-Dresdner Tom Zimmerschied chipped a free kick to the second post, where Younes Ebnoutalib headed the equalizer to 1:1.

How was the game?

In the following, an open game with chances on both sides developed. Especially Daferner and Ebnoutalib caused danger again and again. Despite the increasing superiority of the Elversbergers, it was Dresden that took the lead again just before the break: Jakob Lemmer scored his first second-league goal to 1:2 after excellent preparation by Hauptmann.
