SV Elversberg is gearing up for their historic Bundesliga debut with a familiar face. Lukasz Poreba is moving to the Kaiserlinde from Hamburger SV for a transfer fee and will remain with the promoted team from Saarland. The purchase option turns out to be a real bargain transfer. The 26-year-old receives a three-year contract until summer 2029. According to Transfermarkt, the transfer fee is around €1.6 million. Given a current market value of €2.5 million, this is a favorable agreement for the Saarlanders. SVE sports director Christian Weber praised the Pole explicitly: He has shown how valuable he is to the team and fits perfectly with his playing intelligence and mentality to the values of the club. Poreba himself described the promotion as something historic and explained that he had felt great trust in Elversberg from the beginning and wanted to continue the common path in the Bundesliga. The club from Saarland is thus becoming the 59th first-division team in the history of the Bundesliga since its founding in 1963. Poreba quickly became a key player for Elversberg. From the third matchday on, the former Polish U21 national player was consistently in the starting lineup, played all 34 second-division games, and contributed to the promotion with one goal and four more scoring points. His market value has more than doubled during the loan. Other clubs were also interested in Poreba, but the midfielder decided on the promoted team from Saarland. So Poreba will also be an important player for SV Elversberg in the coming season. But the transfer is not only an important step for the player, but also for the club. SV Elversberg is showing that they are willing to invest in their players and prepare for the future.
