SV Elversberg is declining the purchase option for Immanuël Pherai, the loan player from Hamburger SV. The deadline for the purchase option was June 15 and SV Elversberg apparently did not pay the transfer fee of over two million euros. Pherai joined the club during the winter break of the previous season and scored two goals and two assists in 13 league appearances. Despite this, SV Elversberg still wants to sign Pherai and is trying to negotiate a lower fee. A stay for Pherai at SV Elversberg is therefore still possible. The Elversbergers have already signed another Hamburger loan player: Łukasz Poręba. The 26-year-old midfielder was given a three-year contract. SV Elversberg has thus already assembled part of the team for the new season. Other players like Pherai are expected to follow. But the negotiations with Hamburger SV are not yet complete. So the future of Pherai at SV Elversberg will be decided in the next few days or weeks.
