For SV Elversberg, it's going to be a new season 2026/2027 after their sensational promotion to the top tier in the big stadiums of German football. The goals are the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Some former players of the Saarland club already know these places. One of them is Robin Fellhauer. The 28-year-old midfielder played for SV Elversberg from 2019 to 2025 and was part of the rapid rise of the SVE, which promoted to the 3rd league in 2022 and to the 2nd Bundesliga the following year. In 2025, Fellhauer moved to the Bundesliga to FC Augsburg. There, he quickly secured a starting position. He played in every game, scored three goals, and provided three assists. A highlight for the former captain of the SVE would have been the assist against FC Bayern Munich, even if the game ended in a 2-3 defeat for FCA. "Playing in the Bundesliga was always my big goal. That I can now fulfill this wish with the transfer to FCA means a lot to me", said Fellhauer at his signing. Looking back, the season would have been successful for him with 2799 minutes of playing time in the Bundesliga and a 9th place with 43 points (in the previous year 12th place with 43 points). Now he can also look forward to an award. The Augsburg Journal has crowned him Player of the Season. The journal writes that the ex-Elversberger showed "his class on five different positions, proved his value as an all-rounder week after week". And further: "Regardless of where he was needed, he functioned, whether as a central midfielder, the position he was actually hired for, or as a right or left winger, offensive midfielder or right winger. Fellhauer delivered consistently."
