SV Elversberg has exercised the buy option for Lukasz Poreba. The midfielder will remain with the promoted team until summer 2029. Poreba had established himself as a key player in Elversberg's promotion team last season. He played in all 34 second-division games, scored four goals, and started every match from the third game onwards. His contract with HSV would have expired in 2027, but his market value increased to 2.5 million euros at Elversberg. Poreba is the first permanent transfer of the promoted team this season. We are very happy that Lukasz will remain a key player for our team. He has shown in the past season how valuable he is for the team. With his qualities on the ball, his intelligence, and his exceptional mentality, he had a significant impact on our success. Additionally, he has integrated well into the team and fits perfectly with our values, said SVE sports director Christian Weber. Poreba himself said about his transfer: The past year in Elversberg was special for me in all aspects. With the promotion to the Bundesliga, we achieved something historic together, but I also felt a great trust here and felt very comfortable from the start. It feels right to continue our journey and face the upcoming challenges in the 1. Bundesliga.
